Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we managed to schedule only one integration meeting with Highcon.

 Our first goal was to ensure that the “Monitor” mode works as expected, i.e that we able to read and present values from the machine’s sensors. Surprisingly, after we installed the DAC tool on the BEAM’s PC, the “Monitor” mode worked as-is without the need for program modification.

 Next, when we wanted to test the “Diagnostic” mode, we encountered some problems. We couldn’t write values to the machine. The reason was missing requirements from Highcon’s team, for example:

• Turn on machine diagnostic bit

• Air pressure bit must be always on

• Writing values to a motor can be done only when the motor is off

• Etc..

We managed to solve the problems on the spot and make the “Diagnostic” and “Test” modes work properly.

Overall the integration meeting was a great success and Highcon’s team was pleased with the results.
